Vacation Highlights

We just returned from a really quick trip up to Utah to visit my sister and her family. Scott had to fly home a few days early for a panel interview with Salt River Fire Department. (He has been invited back for an interview with the Fire Chief on the 24th. Please cross your fingers and say a little prayer that he gets hired). We had a really good time and I actually survived the flight home with all of the kids all by myself!! I really feel like that is a major accomplishment. My sister Amy helped get us through security and the nonsense of removing kids shoes and folding up strollers and car seats. I really can't stand the whole song and dance you have to go through to get on a stupid airplane. Seriously, do you think I am hiding explosives in my 2 year olds shoes or in her sippy cup!! Why would I sacrifice a kid that can now clean toilets?!? (See post below) By the time we got on the plane, Corey was so tired he was beside himself. I feel so bad for the kid that sat next to me...(Sorry kid who just moved to AZ from MT and is starting school at Mountain Ridge next month...I was too busy bouncing a baby to get your name). Corey and Nat finally fell asleep while Delaney and Brady slurped their complimentary drinks and ate the cheese out of the cheese and crackers. I initially wanted to die, but at that point was grateful they weren't being TOTALLY obnoxious...just slightly obnoxious. All said and done, I think a good time was had by all...I don't know if I'd suggest the flying home alone thing, but, I'm sure I'll forget about it the next time it comes up...it's kind of like pregnancy. If we really remembered it, who would do it more than once!!

Here we are in front of the Salt Lake Temple...we look so small!
The kids at the church museum trying to pull a real handcart...it's so easy on carpet...
The fabulous Tempanyaki Steak House in American Fork
A bouncy house place...the silly name of this place escapes me at the moment.
The Monte Bean museum at BYU.
