Scott and I were on our way out the door for a double date with the Leonards. (Great company by the way, I would recommend doubling with them to anyone). I generally don't wear my wedding ring around the house. It tends to scratch babies and catch on almost anything in its general vicinity. But, because we were going out, I was putting it on. Or at least, I attempted to put it on. I went to the usual storage spot, the jewelry box, and noticed some things jumbled up. I normally keep a very tidy jewelry box. I then noticed my wedding ring was missing. The immediate response was nausea, followed by panic. I knew the culprit was probably Natalie. She likes to "inspect" anything that she shouldn't within her reach or within her reach with the help of the kitchen stool.
I asked Natalie if she was playing in my jewelry box. She fessed up immediately. So naturally, I asked her where mommy's ring was. She went to the garage and started looking around. We were planning a yard sale for the next day and all of our sale items were stacked on one side of the garage. Lots of toys, clothes, books, junk of all kinds. She started looking through the pile with no success. By this time I had managed to pull apart all kinds of things in an effort to recover the ring. No success on my part either. We left and tried to enjoy our night out...which we did very much after the nausea subsided.
After our date, Scott and I headed back out to the garage to search. I was drawn to a jewelry case I was planning to sell. I picked it up, shook it, and sure enough, found my wedding ring! I guess Natalie wanted to sell it! The color returned to Scott's face. The lump left my throat. I went in to Natalie's room to tell her mommy found her ring. She said "Are you happy mommy?" Yes, Natalie, mommy is very happy.

I am so glad that you found it before the yard sale! I've mis-placed mine a time or two and I hate that aweful feeling in the pit of your stomache. Girls will be girls!
Oh, what a relief! We love you guys and hope you're having a great new year so far.

Those blasted stools! We have a bathroom stool that Toria carries around. I want to burn it.
So glad you found your ring instead of selling it!
