Ear tubes and the downward spiral to graduation

Corey had ear tubes put in last Monday. Big relief! The doctor said he had "glue" behind his right ear drum. I am hopeful that the amoxicillan and augmentin that have been a constant in my refrigerator since a month after his birth will be replaced with something more appetizing. He did really well, even though he wasn't a big fan coming too from the whole thing. He has been the happiest little guy since. It makes me thankful to live where I do and have modern medicine so readily available. Thanks to my mom in law for coming out here before the sun was up to help my big kids get off to school and keep Natalie happy. Scott got special permission to be there for the surgery, so I guess I should be thankful to his training officers...I really can't be very thankful for them. They torture him every day.
Speaking of Scott, he is almost done with the academy. He has 2 weeks and 3 days left. Today they are repelling down Camelback mountain. Should be fun. I can't tell you what a huge relief it will be to be back on a regular shift schedule!
