Percocet and Valium...Beware!

So, Saturday night I was bending over to pick up a toy off the ground. I don't think I was bending weird or anything, but on my way up heard and felt a POP. (I really don't think that's a good sound to hear coming from the inside of your body). I instantly thought, "Oh man, that's not good" and tried to finish standing up. FAT CHANCE! I walked hunched over to my room and laid/stood on the side of my bed. Scott was working of course. All of my kids were still up, and I couldn't get off the bed. I called Scott. He said he could come home. I told him not to come home and I got in the shower. I thought heat would help. It did to a point. I still couldn't stand up the whole way. Miraculously, I got my kids in bed, including 18 pound tubby Corey. I wished death was near, believe me. By the next morning, I knew I needed to go to the ER. I had to call April to do my RS lesson, (again, you saved me April...I owe you BIG). Long story short, I have a slipped or herniated disk in my back. They put me on percocet and valium. I'm a little too sensitive to the valium. Scott thinks it's hilarious because I slur my words and basically act like I'm drunk, so I stopped taking that. Enough entertainment at my expense. I go to the doctor today for a follow up. We'll see what he says!

JULIE!!! AAAAHHH!! NO!! PLEASE PUT ME ON THE LIST OF HELPERS! I know first hand (as many do) how AWFUL that can be! I'll tell one thing, skip all that physical therapy nonsense and go STRAIGHT to the lumbar epidural! Do not pass go, do not spend $400! Just go! Kirk Puttlitz at the Arizona Neurology Institute is my dude! You'll LOVE HIM! :) Oh man! I'm so sad! I hope you're feeling better with the medication! Vicodin helped, but I didn't feel effected! Hope it gets better for you PRONTO!
